Golf season took on new meaning July
18 with the fourth annual Brian D. Silber Memorial Golf Tournament,
which has become one of the top-netting charity golf events in
the state, raising a total of $100,000. The tournament supports
the Spine Tumor Clinic at the MGH and honors the memory of Brian
Silber, who died of a rare spine tumor at the age of 28.
Chris Collins, a childhood friend
of Silber and a sports anchor for New England Cable News, served
as emcee for the post-tournament dinner, held at the Hilltop Steak
House in Saugus, Mass.
